You now, I agree with Naomi. Marie wasn't a bad person and she didn't realize how offensive it was to you. She thought that she was being funny. It would have been an opportunity to explain how you felt and why and she might have learned from the experience. Your relationship could have been saved.

However, you were both young and you reacted because of your own experiences from our past. It's completely understandable.
