That is so funny. My oldest son did an internship at the Atlanta Zoo. He, too, observed the tortoises mating. He said that they were making a lot of noise and crowd gathered. Meanwhile, i liked to hang out at the lions den. They spent quite a bit of time mating that summer! I was there so much (waiting on my son) that I was able to warn off unsuspecting parents. After the male lion was done, he would fall asleep.
