Thanks for replying Misty. I have read your articles about being adopted and they helped me understand things from my son's point of view . I do think that some of what my son is going through has something to do with his adoption. I think he was disappointed in his mother. I don't think it is her fault... I think he built up some idea in his mind on what she would be like and she can't live up to those expectations. And since she doesn't know him, she comes on strong with him and he is not going to accept that. He seems to be somewhat better now and is coming around us more. I don't think he's contacting her though. She doesn't know about the trouble he is in and I feel conflicted. He's an adult so I guess I have to leave it up to him. Also, he met his bio brother for the first time. They met at a bar and the brother got into a fight with a drunk guy and beat the hell out of him. My son had to bail his brother out of jail! What a story that would be! Thanks for commenting.
