My sister graduate in 65 and I graduated in 77. Our mother never talked to us about sex and birth control and she was an RN. My sister and I both wonder why. did she think we wouldn't have sex if we didn't know about it? I learned about periods from some one at school and not from my mother. Now my son's gf tells me about her birth control and her periods. I try to keep my composure because she needs to know what I can tell her. My problem is that I'm not comfortable probably because of my upbringing.

I'm sorry that you had a dificult time. LIfe wasn't fair to girls back them. Either you got married in a hurry or you got sent away. Girls got called names and boys didn't. It was just wrong.
