I once slung a child against the wall. He was a BD student and I had taken him to the office and the principal told me in front of the child to deal with it myself. The child looked at me and went ha ha ha. I told him to stand against the wall and he refused. I took him by the arm and jerked him so hard that he hit his head against the wall. He stopped laughing. I went to the bathroom and cried for a long time. I cried because just for a minute, I wanted to beat the crap out of that kid and I was scared at my actions. I've never forgotten it. the kid told on me and I looked the principal (different one) in the eye and said , I didn't hit him. Because I didn't "hit" him. this was forty years ago. It still bothers me. It can happen to anybody. I'm still friends with some of my students from back then.
